What It Means to Be AAHA Accredited (and Fear Free and Cat Friendly, Too!)
You can take your cat to a vet, or you can take your cat to Cat Care of Vinings. When you bring your pet in to see us, you can rest assured that we are providing the best and most current care with a loving touch. With accreditations from AAHA, Fear Free, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners, you are in good hands.
So, What is AAHA?
The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) is an independent organization that sets standards for the most up to date and quality of care for companion animal veterinary practices across the United States and Canada.
Veterinary practices who choose to become accredited are committed to meeting or exceeding standards in over 18 categories, which include everything from anesthesia practices to client communication.
Accredited practices undergo a periodic onsite evaluation to ensure that we are continuing to satisfactorily meet the standards for each and every patient we interact with.
Being AAHA Accredited brings our team a sense of pride knowing that we are one of only about 4,500 practices to have achieved that goal. It means, too, that our clients can trust that their pets are receiving the best care that veterinary medicine can offer.
Better Cat Care with Fear Free and Cat Friendly Certifications
Beyond AAHA, Cat Care of Vinings also strives to be the best by participating in Fear Free practices, which are dedicated to reducing and/or eliminating fear, anxiety, and stress in our patients wherever possible.
Being Fear Free Professionals, our team is always looking for ways to improve your cat’s experience and well-being.
It seems only logical, then, as the cat lovers that we are that we would also be a Cat Friendly Practice, a program designed by the American Association of Feline Practitioners to perpetuate better understanding, care, and handling of our species of choice. This accreditation helps to assure you (if you had any doubts) that our staff is at the top of their game when it comes to providing the best for your cat.
When comparing veterinary facilities, accreditations like these help you to know that:
- The staff is committed to constant education and improvement
- Your pet is being treated using the latest and best veterinary medicine has to offer
- You will be getting a consistent level of care no matter who you deal with in the practice
- Your cat is going to have the best experience possible
We love when our clientele understands and appreciates how we go the extra mile to be the premier feline veterinary hospital in the Atlanta area. Thank you for all of your support as we continuously strive to be our best.
